Val was born in Germany, the daughter of an American Air Force Serviceman and a German-born woman.  Due to her mother's death when Val was an infant, her father brought her stateside to be raised and live on a rural Frazee farm of 160 acres in Becker County. Val's paternal grandparents built this farmstead in the early 1940's. They cut down the trees and sawed the lumber and built themselves a full set of buildings.

Val has quite a bond to this farm in Becker County as she still lives on the family farm with her husband  Mark, who works for the MN Dept of Transportation in Detroit Lakes.  Mark and Val also raised their 4 sons on this farm: Joshua, Lucas, Trevor and Nathan. They all live in the Detroit Lakes area.

Throughout the years of raising her family, she has always had the "Love of the Land" in her heart.  Living in one of Minnesota's most gorgeous counties with rolling hills, fields, forests and bountiful lakes, has helped her find her "niche". 

Proudly, Val has held the title of "Licensed Real Estate Professional" for over 10 years. This career has taken her into all areas of real estate:  be it City Residential, Rural Residential, Lakeshore or Farm/Land.  Having lived in the Frazee and Detroit Lakes area of Detroit Lakes the majority of her lifetime, and also living close to the neighboring counties of Ottertail, Hubbard and Mahnomen, she would love to share her knowledge with you, the Real Estate Consumer.

Val also belongs to the National Association of Realtors, The Minnesota Association of Realtors and the Lakes County Association of Realtors. She has served as an active Director on the Lakes Country Association of Realtors and has also served as Secretary on the Lakes Country Board of Realtors. Along with these offices, Val also has obtained her Minnesota Real Estate  Brokers License.
